Arya Sekhar Bandopadhyay is a diligent software engineer with over 1.5 years of professional experience and is currently working as a Software Engineer at Arcesium (DE Shaw Group). He is pursuing his MS(Thesis) in Big Data Analytics from Liverpool John Moores University. He has also created a user base of 1000 users for a self-made project and helped increase the user base of Gaius App to 10000. Currently, Arya is working as a Data Engineering Intern at Ovonts. He has worked on the backend to analyze and find patterns in customer browsing behavior on the site to better the recommendation algorithm. He also created a script to convert the PostgreSQL backend to CSV and then perform qualitative analysis and ran the script after a certain interval using a worker file. Additionally, he worked on creating a customer clustering model to target customers with similar influencer interest, which helped reduce the cost of advertising all influencers to customers. Arya has previously worked as a Product Strategist and Data Scientist at Redfox Labs, where he worked on their stats-based site, Statista, and performed thorough market study and competitor analysis to include novelty features.
